Green fleet addition for Enviro-Clean

East Kilbride-based waste water and recycling business Enviro-Clean has announced the acquisition of a new Volvo FH/Kaiser Whale recycling tanker, with the vehicle to bolster the firm's green fleet commitments.

The 32-tonne Volvo 8×4 rigid model will help the company to carry out mobile high-pressure jetting and pressured vacuum suction callouts, with its systems able to be operated by remote control or from within the cab for enhanced functionality and flexibility.

Transport manager for Enviro-Clean Findlay Robertson commented: "Volvo Trucks have a product range and back-up service that is second-to-none, in addition to being the preferred operator and driver choice at Enviro-Clean.

"I like the fact that you can speak to an engineer directly on the telephone or face-to-face at the Blantyre dealership."

Bespoke design features for the  FH/Kaiser Whale include three individual stainless steel tanks, capable of holding up to 2,800 litres of clean water, 1,000 litres of overspill and 11,750 litres of debris or sludge respectively.

Other standout features of the vehicle include its 460 bhp Euro-6 engine and Globetrotter cab, as well as an enhanced I-Shift automated gearbox with multiple power-take-off functions, uprated front steel spring suspension and high chassis ride height.

The unique livery for the vehicle also represents a chance for the company to support two local charities, with Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Water Aid both being advertised. A proportion of the operating costs for the new vehicle are also to be donated by the firm to these worthy causes.
